25 years ago already? and it was already five years since our anniversary cruise?

Marriage is a journey, and who you are at the beginning is not where you end up as you go. Only if you can adapt to changes, and if you're blessed enough to have a partner that can adapt as well as you can, will things work out for the long term.

As friends and family members have relationships that wither and die all around us, and as we continue, it's difficult to admit success without sounding like it's gloating over the failures of others.

Selflessness, contentment, and a healthy dash of resignation... or not resignation, but determination that it, this thing, this marriage, will continue and that we will continue as partners regardless of the ups, downs, obstacles, differences and drama. It's just that there is no option for failure and making do with what you have to make it the best that it can be, even though at times it isn't very good and it's very difficult.

All in all, I wouldn't change a thing!
